This Scandinavian bank’s deployment process for WebSphere Message Broker was totally manual – all bar file deployments to all brokers were done by hand; not only a time consuming activity but also one prone to errors. Recognizing an imminent increase in the number of their WebSphere Message Broker projects, the bank realized that they needed a application release automation tool to help them manage their deployments to all environments in a secure, consistent manner.
A number of virtual demonstrations and workshops were held during which a Proof of Concept was defined, along with a series of use cases which formed the basis for the conditions of satisfaction. Ascendant Technology, an IBM and MidVision Business Partner, assisted with this process and deployed the base version of the IBM Rational Automation Framework onto which MidVision deployed the extension and configured the use cases. The Proof of Concept was held onsite in Stockholm at the end of August, completed successfully and the licenses were ordered in September as a result.
