Remote Agent Transport Plugin

Plugin for RapidDeploy Remote Agent.

Using this plugin you can deploy and manage remote servers using a RapidDeploy agent running on that server.

Us this plugin and configure an agent on the remote server when you cannot, or don’t want to, use Ssh to connect to the target server.

RapidDeploy can automatically deploy, start and manage (update) the remote agent software from within the RapidDeploy framework server console.

By default a new instance of RapidDeploy should come with the latest version of the remote agent plugin already installed. If you have a direct internet connection and need to update the plugins for any reason the easiest way to do this is via the Plugin Manager when you are logged into RapidDeploy. Log in to RapidDeploy and go to:

System -> Plugin Manager -> Available Plugins Tab

If your RapidDeploy instance does not have an internet connection you can download the remote agent plugin here

This plugin is shipped with the RapidDeploy installation by default.

The plugin adds tasks to the server orchestration task list to enable you to make calls from one deployment server to further downstream servers via remoting.
- Copy to Downstream Agents Task
- Execute Command on Downstream Agents Task
This plugin adds a selection item to the server definition transport panel tab transport type drop down list for the Remote Agent. A list of the UI parameters for this tab is given below. You can select the remote agent as the transport to connect to and perform all actions on the target server.
